Wayfinding in the Fight Against Trafficking: A Primer on How to Begin

April 15, 2026
9:00 AM-10:30 AM

Getting started in the fight against trafficking can be overwhelming, whether you're a law enforcement officer, prosecutor, or victim-serving agency. This workshop will outline the organization and funding of the anti-trafficking response in the U.S., highlight essential law enforcement and victim-serving agency partnerships, and emphasize the importance of a community vulnerability assessment and a multi-year legislative strategy. Participants will learn about overcoming challenges, the need for shared goals, case-specific training, generating investigative leads, and best practices for serving victims. The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step; let's get walking.
